The Beijing National Aquatics Center, colloquially known as the Water Cube, is an aquatics center at the Olympic Green in Beijing, China. The Aquatics Center hosted the swimming, diving, and synchronized swimming events during the Olympics.
Dr. Yu Kwok Keung, Founder & President of NPS, had contributed to support the construction of the Water Cube and was gifted a Donor Card (Card Number: #021400). On the cover of the Donor Card, showing a calligraphy of "China's Hundred-Year Olympic Dream Finally Comes True" was written by ex-Chinese president Jiang Zemin.
In order to capture the unforgettable moments of the Beijing Olympics and share them with Chinese in Hong Kong as well as the international community, the Hong Kong Youth Sector's Organising Committee for Pre-Olympic Games Celebration organized a Olympic 2008 Photo Competition Beijing-Hong Kong Heart to Heart in 2008.
